Jiayu Liu’s – Tracing the Sky

When a hidden underground space in the heart of Manchester is suddenly transformed into an immersive sanctuary, its only right that it’s photographed.

The exhibition kicked off on the 14th July 2019 Under the Barton Arcade which is a Victorian shopping arcade.  The floating motion graphics emerging from the basement voids was just breathtaking.

Tracing The Sky was magical, such an emersive experience as a visitor to the exhibition. The air moving around the voids and creating these amazing patterns. It was such a privialge to be part of this amazing exhibition and visiaul art at its very best.

We were booked by the exhibitions organisor and Jiayu herself to record some personal moments with the people who came to see this wonder.
